History
Kee Fatt Industries Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian-Japanese joint-venture manufacturing corporation, has been supplying the domestic and overseas market with its rubber-based Power Transmission Belts for umpteen years now.
Its Power Transmission Belts, with wide-usage in the automotive, industrial and agricultural sectors, clearly testifies to two significant success factors. Firstly, it indicates the technological and managerial capability that the Company has develop over the years, clearly putting substance to the nation’s drive for a genuine Malaysian-made product.
Kee Fatt Industries is the first and only rubber-based Power Transmission Belts Manufacturer in Malaysia. The Company took a challenging road to earning industry-wide recognition. In 1985, the Company was granted licenses by SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd to use SIRIM certification on all its automotive and industrial products.
Added to its credit are two other hand-earned quality certifications, including the accreditation of ISO 9001:2008 Management Systems Certification in year 1997 and ISO 14001:2004 Management Systems Certification in Year 2004 by Standards Malaysia Accredited Certification Body.
The Company’s products, manufactured and marketed under the licensed names of BANDO and MAKO, are well recognized for its quality excellence in both the replacement and Original Equipment Manufacturer market.
Kee Fatt Industries is one of the earliest home-grown industries and most recognized landmarks in Kulai, a fast-developing industrial township located within the Iskandar Region boundary in the state of Johor, Malaysia. Its factory has over the years been upgraded and expanded to cope with increasing domestic and overseas market demands. The Company now employs some 400 employees.
Bando Chemical Industries Ltd. Of Japan is Kee Fatt Industries’ technical partner and strength behind this growing joint-venture. This respected Japanese counterpart continues to provide its technical support and training resources to its Malaysian partner, effecting a transfer of technology that is truly reflective of the spirit of the Kee Fatt-Bando join venture and technical assistance agreements.
A present, Kee Fatt Industries’ greatest strength is its focus on meeting customers’ needs and product specifications. With continual investment in refining the Company’s production with the latest machinery and technical know-how, Kee Fatt Industries is determined to carry on expanding its product range and upgrading its product quality.
With the domestic market growing by leaps and bounds and a great growing potential in its export market, Kee Fatt Industries is certainly gearing towards making further inroads into both the domestic and overseas markets.
